CM Siddaramaiah Shared Dias With ISIS Supporters: Karnataka BJP MLA
Belagavi: Senior BJP leader and Bijapur City MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has made startling allegations against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, claiming that he shared the stage with a terror sympathizer during an event in Hubballi on Monday.
Yatnal took to social media, specifically X (formerly Twitter), to make the accusations. He has also written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding this.
“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah shared the dias with ISIS supporters and Terror Sympathizers yesterday at Hubli. Tanveer Peera is a Terror Sympathiser who has links with Terror Outfits across the Middle East. Attached Images are his recent visits to the Middle East meeting the Terror Sympathizer and Radical Islamic Operatives,” he posted along with photos.
“Tanveer has met Chief Minister Sri Siddaramaiah on several occasions. Does Chief Minister Siddaramaiah know the background of this Terror Sympathizer? I will reveal all details of Tanveer to Saudi and the Middle East,” he added.
Yatnal has written a letter on Wednesday to Home Minister Amit Shah seeking NIA probe.
“I have received credible information suggesting that Peera is bringing funds from Muslim countries with the intention of creating unrest in our nation. It is truly unfortunate that the CM either disregarded the advice of his personal security and intelligence or deliberately chose to meet Peera in order to further his own political agenda,” Yatnal stated in the letter to Shah.
“I firmly believe that it is in the best interest of our country to have Peera thoroughly investigated by central agencies, as I suspect that the local police are colluding with the state administration to avoid taking any action against him,” he added.
Yatnal who has sought NIA investigation into the case has requested Shah to direct the central authorities to interrogate Peera.
“I kindly request you to direct the central authorities to interrogate Peera in order to ascertain the purpose of his visit to ISIS leaders, identify the sources of his travel funding, investigate his alleged role as a funding manager and understand the nature of his numerous meetings with Siddaramaiah," he stated in the letter.
In response, Congress leader Ravi Boseraju has countered Yatnal's claims.
"Tanveer Peera was seen with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. I suggest promptly drafting a letter for investigation by central agencies or personally visiting Delhi to submit the letter. Instead of a prominent position in the party, savor the premium tea that awaits you," he shared on X. He also posted the photo of Peera standing with Gadkari.
