Implement Telangana's welfare schemes, farmers' panel tells states
NIZAMABAD: The Indian Coordination Committee of Farmers’ Organisations held a round table conference to review farmer welfare programmes being implemented in Telangana state and urged all state governments to implement schemes such as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima in all states throughout the country.
South India Farmers' Federation president Kotapati Narasimham Naidu, who attended the roundtable conference in Bengaluru on Thursday, stated that all farmers across the country wanted Telangana state welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, free power supply for agriculture, and crop loan waiver to be implemented in their respective states.
National farmer leaders Rakesh Tikait, Yudhveer Singh, Sukki Nanjunda Swamy, Prof. Biswajitdhar, Abhijit Das, Ranjan Sen Gupta, Sachin Kumar Sharma, Kavita Kuruganti, Afsar Jafri, Manjunath and others participated in the conference.
