Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the formal name of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has achieved major milestones during the first half of the ongoing 2023–24 fiscal.
It is remarkable that the company achieved unprecedented sales figures during the first half of the financial year. RINL reported cumulative sales of 3,64,000 tonnes of wire rod coils (WRC), 2,23,000 tonnes of structural steel and 6,82,000 tonnes of value added steel (VAS).
These are the highest sales ever recorded for the April-September period since the inception of RINL.
During H1 of this fiscal, the company sold 1.95 million tonnes of finished steel and achieved a sales turnover of ₹10,780 crore. This marks an impressive growth of 40 per cent and 25 per cent respectively, compared to the same period last year.
RINL chairman and managing director Atul Bhatt praised the company's workforce for its ability to continue achieving high performance in the current fiscal year. Likewise, director (Commercial) D.K. Mohanty and director (Projects) A.K. Bagchi have congratulated the RINL workers.
