Srisailam Temples gearing up for Sivaratri
ANANTAPUR: Srisailam Temple executive officer S. Lavanna said elaborate arrangements are being made for the Sivaratri Brahmotsavam at the Srisailam shrine and also in surrounding Nallamala forest for devotees coming by padayatra.
The EO held a review meeting in this regard with temple staff, priests, revenue and police officials at the Srisailam Temple in Nandyal district on Saturday.
“As large numbers of devotees on Siva Deeksha and in padayatra will arrive for Sivaratri, the temple will make all necessary arrangements, including in the deep forest areas of Nallamala,” Lavanna stated.
Devotees are expected from throughout AP, Telangana. Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Food and water facilities will be created for devotees on padayatra at Nagaluti, Peddacheruvu, Bheemuni Kolanu, Kailasa Dwaram and Sakshi Ganapathi.
Temporary shelters with tents will be set in open places for temporary stay of devotees in case rooms are not available during the Sivaratri Brahmotsavam, the EO underlined.
All devotees in the queue lines will be provided breakfast and prasadam, he said.
Srisailam circle inspector Diwakar Reddy said separate parking facilities are being created to avoid traffic congestion in the temple town during all days of Sivaratri Brahmotsavam.
