Balayya on four-day tour, concentrates on Hindupur for easy win

Anantapur: Hindupur politics regained attention after TD MLA and film star Nandamuri Balakrishna started attending pre-poll meetings with party leaders from all mandals and gram panchayats in the assembly segment. This was amid reports that the YSRC is keen on grabbing Hindupur this time.

Balakrishna arrived at Hindupur on Monday on a four-day visit to his constituency. He is meeting leaders from rural areas of various mandals separately to solve the local issues within the party as also people’s problems.

He participated in a function organised by a TD minority leader for his daughter’s wedding at a function hall in Hindupur.

Balakrishna met party leaders at a function hall and urged them to ensure TD victory in the coming elections.

Balayya is scheduled to hold meetings in Hindupur rural, Chilamanathur and Lepakshi mandals as also Hindupur municipality.

Though the TD has been having a cakewalk in Hindupur in past polls ever since NTR contested there for the MLA seat and later developed the area mainly in the industrial sector. Hindupur is located closer to Bengaluru and several entrepreneurs set up industries in Thumakunta three decades ago.

“TD will be voted to power and we will undertake major development activities,” Balakrishna said during his meeting with Hindupur rural mandal leaders.
