Telangana HC allows Mahesh Bank administrator to take policy decisions
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has modified its earlier orders by allowing the administrator of AP Mahesh Co-operative Urban Bank to take policy decisions along with running and day-to-day affairs of the bank.
Justice Bollam Vijaysen Reddy had issued these orders recently while allowing the petition filed by the bank, which urged the court to modify the orders passed last year.
In that order, the High Court appointed Ram Narayana Boga, retired general manager of State Bank of India, as officer for running administration and managing day-to-day affairs of the petitioner bank. However, the bank filed an interim application stating that running the administration includes taking policy decisions, and requested the court to add the ‘taking policy decisions' clause. The judge allowed the request and, accordingly, modified the earlier orders.
