Electricity staff to keep off work
HYDERABAD: The TS Electricity Employees Joint Action Committee said employees will boycott duty from Sunday midnight to protest against the Electricity (amendment) Bill, 2022.
The committee has urged all electricity employees to participate in the statewide maha dharna on Monday. Emergency services like power generation centres and sub-stations have been exempted from the stir Wearing black badges, the employees will stage protests in front of discoms, circle offices and other offices across the state. Many unions have decided to conduct a round table meeting at the Press Club in Somajiguda on the Electricity Amendment Bill. Union leaders Ratnakar Rao, N. Shivaji and others urged people to cooperate if they face any interruption in power supply during the protests of electricity employees.
