Maoists condole Gaddar's death

Hyderabad: The Maoists on Monday condoled the death of the balladeer Gaddar, who was associated with the Jana Natya Mandali. In a statement issued by Jagan of the Telangana state committee, the Maoists said that Gaddar’s death had deeply saddened them and expressed their condolences to Gaddar’s family.

The statement detailed Gaddar’s association with the Maoists during the Naxalbari movement and how he actively participated in their campaigns through his songs and performances.

Since Gaddar worked against the party’s principles and went close to the ruling party, a showcause notice was issued to him. Subsequently, Gaddar resigned from the party and the Maoists accepted his resignation, Jagan said.
