AP to fill vacant teaching faculties in ITIs and polytechnics

Vijayawada: The AP government would soon start a Skill Universe dashboard and fill the vacant teaching faculties in ITIs and polytechnics.

Stating this, finance minister Buggana Rajendranath, who is also handling the skill development and training departments, said the Skill Universe dashboard would provide complete information about employment opportunities, placements and training to youths.

A review meeting was held here on Friday under the chairmanship of Rajendranath. He said the dashboard would help the youths get comprehensive information related to training and placements.

“We are working to upload the details of joint training of APSSDC, CDAP and NAC on the portal. Chief minister Jagan Reddy aims to enhance the skills of our youths to enable them get employment,” the minister said.

Principal secretary to skill development and training, Suresh Kumar, explained about the Dash Board facilities and said the curriculum vitae (resume) is being prepared with the personal details provided by the participant youths.

APSSDC MD, Vinod Kumar, explained to the minister that they are making it easy for anyone to log in with their Aadhaar login and captcha password. The final exercise will be done on the web portal.

The minister said the government will take steps to ensure there is no shortage of teachers for youngsters for their technical and skill education in ITIs and polytechnics. “Jobs of lab technicians, teaching and non-teaching staff will be filled.”

Technical education director Nagarani brought to the notice of the minister the details of the appointments to be taken up immediately in government and private colleges and hostels.

Director of the employment and training department B. Navya urged the minister to take initiative for appointment of assistant training officers and deputy training officers. Responding to this, the minister advised him to prepare a clear list of jobs.
