BDL provides vocational training to 600 women from Vizianagaram

Visakhapatnam: As part of its CSR initiative, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is extending self-employment vocational training to 600 women from Vizianagaram on stitching garments across 10 centres located in remote places of the district.

The participants have been given sewing kits and materials. This has provided job-oriented skill training in textiles, with a budget of '240 lakh. The initiative is monitored by the Andhra Pradesh Rural Development Agency in Vizianagaram.

N. Srinivasulu, director (finance) BDL presented certificates to all participants who completed the training at a ceremony held in Vizianagaram on Thursday.

BDL has undertaken digitization of classrooms in 100 government schools with a budget of '300 lakh in the district. This initiative is aimed at facilitating easy learning for children through visuals and reducing teachers’ efforts to explain the students. As part of the program, user manual and training has also been provided for teachers.

Meanwhile, BDL inaugurated a smart classroom at Pogiri on Rajam mandal.
