Home guard Ravinder was a God-fearing person, say his friends
Hyderabad: Friends of Home guard M. Ravinder said he was a very down to earth and God-fearing person who helped them when they were in distress.
An early riser, he used to meet his friends and neighbours after a morning walk. On coming to know of any problems they were facing, he would set out to help them, recalled R. Srinivas, Ravinder’s friend, who runs a grocery shop in Arundatinagar, Uppuguda.
Srinivas said Ravinder had been worried at not getting his salary but had refused to borrow from him. He expected to get the salary in the first week of September.
“Ravinder anna was quite popular in Arundatinagar. He had a good rapport with the civic authorities. Residents used to seek his help, Usha Rani, Ravinder’s neighbour, said.
Ravinder used to go to the Bhagyalakshmi temple in Charminar regularly, and used to post pictures of the Goddess on his social media accounts, said Ravinder’s sister Pavani, a constable.
