VIT-AP students told to mine knowledge as a habit
VIJAYAWADA: VIT-AP University has organised an orientation programme for its new students on Friday at its campus.
Speaking on the occasion Vellore Institute of Technology Alumni Association (VITAA) chairman Muthazhaghi asked the new joinees to inculcate the habit of mining knowledge, beside focusing on academic studies. He pointed out that VIT offers various support services, such as counselling centres, educational programmes, and career development offices, which can help the students in charting their future.
However, Muthazhaghi also wanted students to also participate in extracurricular activities, before they look for research opportunities, internships and programmes for studying abroad.
VIT-AP University vice chancellor Dr. S.V. Kota Reddy said the orientation programme helps students understand the institution's overarching objectives and priorities. He encouraged students to strive for excellence, embrace challenges and make a positive impact on society.
Academics dean Dr. N. Madhusudhan Rao and Deputy Director (Admissions) Dr. John Pradeep were present on the occasion.
