Release pending PRC dues immediately: Venkateswarlu
Vijayawada: APJAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu demanded the state government immediate release of PRC 2017 dues and leave encashment to RTC employees and further to continue medical services to all staff. The AP Public Transport Department (RTC) Employees Union state working committee meeting was held here on Sunday under the chairmanship of state President Palisetti Damodara Rao.
APJAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, who was the chief guest in this meeting, said that all the employees were very worried because the dues to be paid to government employees was not paid by the end of September. He said that they took the issues of promotions as per the old service rules for RTC employees who joined before the merger, inclusion of medical facilities for RTC employees under the old system, filling up of vacancies, and other pending issues to the notice of the government, and the government had responded positively. He sought the release of PRC 2017 dues and leave encashment for RTC employees and further to continue medical services for all staff. Venkateswarlu assured that APJAC Amaravati would stand in support of RTC employees until their issues are resolved.
Palisetti Damodar said that the zonal executives in all the zonal centres would soon discuss the problems in the depots and units and within the district boundaries. He said that memoranda would be given to the zone executive directors, and if necessary, they would start agitation activities in the zones. He said that their union was going to submit a memorandum to the APSRTC managing director regarding their issues.
