Hyderabad: Demanding 50 per cent reservations to the Backward Classess, Telangana BC Rajyadhikaram Sadhana Samiti convener Dasu Suresh asked the state government to take a decision on reservations for EWS and BCs.
Samiti members elaborated on these topics during a meeting on the state
government's decision to merge 26 castes into the BC community. BC youth
have suffered due to lack of job opportunities and the governments must
consider increasing reservations for BCs to 50 per cent. They warned of
massive statewide protests if the government did not oblige.
