Visakhapatnam: Following Cyclone Michaung and heavy rains for past two days causing landslides, authorities have closed the ghat roads in Manyam district.
Collector Sumit Kumar has ordered that traffic should not be allowed on Paderu, Arakuloya and Chintapalli ghat routes until the roads are checked for safety.
Revenue personnel have blockaded the roads in Vantadapalli, Garikabanda, Anantagiri, Chilakalagedda, Koyyuru and Daunuru areas to stop movement of vehicles.
Vehicular traffic is likely to be restored depending on the condition of the roads following inspections.
