Hyderabad: Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhu ji, Akshaya Patra Foundation regional president and Hare Krishna Movement president, met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday and briefed him about the foundation’s activities in the state.
The seer said: "With the vision that no child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger,” the Akshaya Patra Foundation was implementing the mid-day meal scheme in government and government-aided schools to fight hunger and to help bring children back to school.
He said the Akshaya Patra Foundation was now running the world's largest mid-day meal programme, serving food to over 20 lakh children across 15 states and two Union Territories.
