KCR brought G.O. No. 58 to provide shelter to poor families: MLA

WARANGAL: With an intention to provide shelter to poor families, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao introduced G.O. No. 58. Under the G.O., poor families who have been living by constructing houses on government land for the past 30 to 40 years can apply for pattas, said the government chief whip and Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar.

Along with the officials of various departments concerned, Vinay Bhaskar inspected the houses constructed on government land at Deen Dayal Nagar and Jyothi Rao Phule colony by the workers working in unorganised sectors and inquired about their economic and health conditions here in Hanamkonda on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Bhaskar said that the Chief Minister fulfilled the 40-year dream of poor families living in huts by introducing G.O. No. 58. But many people who are unaware of the G.O. are not applying for pattas for the houses that are constructed on government lands.

The Telangana government is committed to the welfare of the working class. In part, awareness is created among the workers living in huts about the G.O. He assured that after inspecting several such colonies, steps will be taken to provide all kinds of basic facilities for the convenience of the people living there.

Still, there are several people who constructed houses and built huts on government land and are living. Since the government extended the date up to May 31, they must apply for housing pattas under G.O. No. 58 and must utilise the opportunity provided by the Telangana government, he appealed.

Revenue divisional officer Vasu Chander, mandal revenue officer Raj Kumar, local corporator Mamindla Raju, and BRS division president Venkanna were among those who were present along with others.
