Vijayawada: Traffic diversions and restrictions were imposed here for Monday in view of the YSR Congress representatives/delegates meeting at the IGMC Stadium on Bandar Road.
Police Commissioner KR Tata said no vehicle would be allowed towards Mahatma Gandhi Road (MG Road) and Chuttugunta Centre - Sikhamani Centre to Water Tank Road.
RTC bus route diversion: Traffic will be stopped on MG Road from 7am to 2pm. No city bus will be allowed on MG road. City buses from Pamarru and Auto Nagar will be diverted at Benz Circle and go via Fakir Gudem, Screw Bridge, Kanakadurga Varadhi and PNBS in-gate to the city bus terminal.
All city buses scheduled to run via MG Road and Route 5 to Benz Circle will be diverted via Old Police Control Room, old RTC Junction, and Hotel Swarna Palace, Apsara Junction, Eluru Road, Chuttugunta, Machavaram, Ramavarappadu Ring, Mahanadu Junction, Ramesh Hospital junction and Nirmala Junction to Benz Circle.
The 108 Ambulances and other emergency services would be allowed on all routes in the city. Vehicle traffic would be suspended from Pushpa Hotel, Red Circle to Eat Street, Nice Bar, Sikhamani Junction to Water Tank.
YSRC delegates may park their vehicle at designated parking places. Vehicles should not be parked on the roads. Chief Minister Jagan Reddy, several ministers, MPs, MLCs and MLAs will be attending the delegates meeting.
