HMDA to set up floating musical fountains in Hussainsagar
Hyderabad: The HMDA said it would install floating musical fountains, on the lines of those at Durgam Cheruvu, at the Hussainsagar at an estimated cost of Rs 17.22 crore. Bids have been invited for the work and a deadline of six months set for completing the work.
Officials said that each musical fountain show will last for 20 minutes and three shows would be run between 7 pm and 10 pm on weekdays, while four shows would be run on weekends and government holidays.
An HMDA official told Deccan Chronicle that the nodal agency had invited bids for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 180-metre-long fountains, with a diameter of 10 metres, along with running operations and maintenance for three years.
Operation and maintenance include the cost of repairs and replacements of all equipment, components and gadgets.
The official said that the project should be completed within six months of signing the agreement. Interested agencies must submit design concepts, technical specifications and a detailed drawing of the layout, along with the bid. A visual presentation to a technical committee is also a part of the process, he said.
