Bus fire averted in Sangareddy: RTC driver's swift action saves lives
Hyderabad: A bus travelling from Hyderabad to Mumbai narrowly escaped disaster in the early hours of Friday thanks to the quick thinking of its driver, at budhera of Munipalli mandal in Sangareddy district. Police said the driver noticed smoke emanating from the engine compartment, pulled over and alerted the passengers to evacuate immediately. Within seconds, the bus was empty. Moments later, fire engulfed the bus. Luggage and personal belongings of the passenges were destroyed. It is believed that a short circuit led to the fire.
