1 Lakh Pending Dharani Applications Will Be Cleared by June 4
HYDERABAD: The committee constituted by the state government to resolve Dharani portal-related grievances has decided to clear pending one lakh applications by June 4. The government conducted a special drive from March 1 to 9 in mandal revenue offices to clear the pending 2.45 lakh applications. Nearly 1.45 lakh applications were cleared during the special drive.
The process was halted with the announcement of Lok Sabha election schedule on March 16 as revenue staff were deployed on poll-related duties. The work on resolving grievances has resumed with the conclusion of the polls. The committee met in Secretariat on Saturday to review pending applications.
The committee felt that there are 199 discrepancies in modules in Dharani portal and if 76 were rectified, a majority of the grievances could be resolved.
The committee felt that BRS leaders exploited the discrepancies to their advantage and transferred land specified under prohibited list and in the assigned category to their henchmen. The committee will submit a final report to the government on how many acres of assigned and prohibited list land were transferred to other illegally during BRS regime using the Dharani portal.
