Cops foil suicide bid of teen who failed Inter exams
Hyderabad: The Panjagutta police on Tuesday night foiled a suicide bid by a 17-year-old boy who had failed in the Intermediate exams, results of which were announced earlier in the day.
The boy was counselled and handed over to his parents.
The teenager is a resident of Ameerpet. Upon receiving his results, he called his parents, informed them of the results and told them that he did not wish to continue living, the police said.
Panicking, the boy’s parents rushed home to find him missing and his phone left behind at home, following which they approached the police.
The police immediately circulated pictures of the boy to neighbouring police stations and personnel were deployed to railway stations and the Tank Bund.
A police team deployed at the Begumpet Railway Station found the boy walking towards the platform end, following which they rescued him
