Jangaon BRS MLA's daughter files forgery complaint against him
WARANGAL: Jangaon BRS MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy’s daughter Tuljha Bhavani Reddy lodged a complaint against him for forging her signature, at Uppal police station in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Bhavani alleged that her father encroached 159 yards of a commercial complex in Nacharam by forging her signature and had leased the space to Canara Bank.
She urged the police to act immediately against Muthireddy and file a case for cheating and grabbing her property.
It may be noted that two years ago, Muthireddy faced the heat from leaders of opposition parties as well as various peoples’ organisations over allegations of encroaching land near a lake on the outskirts of Jangaon town.
The then-district collector and Muthireddy also had a heated argument regarding the encroachment of the lake. The collector had also filed a complaint against the MLA and brought the issue to the notice of the state government. However, the issue died down after the collector was transferred from the district.
Muthireddy has been facing allegations of encroachment of government lands in the Jangaon district for the past few years. There was a political uproar in the district after the complaint filed by his daughter came to light.
However, the MLA denied the allegations levelled by his daughter and said he did not forge any signature. The plot in survey number 1,402 in Cheriyal mandal was still under her name, he said.
There are two plots — 125 yards and 150 yards respectively — on which a commercial complex was constructed. The MLA said his son had given the complex on the lease without his consent. But no forgery was done and property transfer did not take place. “That property is also under the name of my daughter,” he added. Political rivals are trying to malign my image by provoking my daughter. This is a family issue and will be resolved within the family, he added.
