Balakrishna's birthday celebrated in grand way at Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital
HYDERABAD: Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna’s birthday celebrations were held in a grand way at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute here on Saturday. Taking part in the celebrations along with children battling cancer, Balakrishna cut a cake, which was later distributed among the kids along with some gifts which the actor also distributed to them.
Addressing the staff, doctors, patients and fans who attended the program, he said that every birthday reminds him of his responsibilities.
He said that he would emulate what he learned from his father, former chief miner and actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, by working actively for people, forgetting his age.
“I look at my age of 63 years as 36 years and move forward actively,” he said.
He announced that Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, which was established by his father with the aim of providing quality medical care to the poor at affordable prices, would continue to do so for people without motives of profit.
