Kishan hails G20 as proof of leadership
HYDERABAD: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, the TS BJP president, on Sunday said the G20 summit in Delhi stood as “a testament to India’s leadership in fostering global unity and collaboration. The induction of the African Union as the new permanent member of G20 has cemented India’s commitment to ensuring the voice of the Global South is represented in the most influential forum such as the G20.”
In a statement, Kishan Reddy said, “The New Delhi Declaration, with China and Russia in agreement to it, built a consensus where none thought it was possible. This is a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stature as a world leader and due to the relationships he built over the last 9 years with countries across the globe.”
He said a significant milestone of the G20 summit was the unanimous endorsement of tourism and culture’s pivotal role in sustainable socio-economic development and prosperity.
“The declaration underlined the significance of the ‘Goa Roadmap for Tourism’ as a vehicle for achieving sustainable development goals. The Goa roadmap, aligned with the theme of India’s G20 presidency, underscores the role of tourism in society, the economy, and environmental stewardship,” he added.
