HYDERABAD: AICC Telangana in-charge Manikrao Thakre said the 110-day padayatra undertaken by CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had strengthened the Congress. “No other leader had undertaken such a yatra before,” he said.
The padayatra helped him highlight the problems of the SC and ST communities, Thakre said while launching a book on Bhatti’s effort. AICC secretary D. Sridhar Babu said the yatra was inspired by that of the late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy and the Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi.
Bhatti said he received encouragement from Thakre and AICC secretary Rohit Chowdhury.
