Banjara Hills gets new SHO

Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police, embroiled in a series of controversies, has a new station house officer. P. Sateesh of the Special Branch was posted as SHO Banjara Hills, replacing M. Narender who was booked by the ACB for demanding a bribe from a pub owner.

Narender was also placed under suspension by police commissioner C.V. Anand. Narender, along with other personnel accused in the bribery case, appeared before the ACB for questioning on Monday, where their statements were recorded. They maintained that they were innocent. The ACB asked them to appear again on October 16.

Meanwhile, R Govinda Reddy who was posted to LB Nagar Zone CCS on Sunday, was posted as Ibrahimpatnam SHO in less than 24 hours time. He replaces G. Ramakrishna, who is posted to LB Nagar Zone CCS in Govinda Reddy’s place.
