Telangana High Court relief for Old City politician

Hyderabad: Justice C.V. Bhaskar Reddy of the Telangana High Court on Monday directed the Moghalpura station house officer not to harass the AIMIM (Inquilab) national secretary, M.A. Qavi Abassi, by calling him to the police station.

Abassi had filed a petition seeking to quash the rowdysheet opened against him. Senior counsel, appearing for the petitioner, said the opening of the rowdysheet was illegal as it done so based on alleged crime.

The Supreme Court as well as the Telangana High Court have held that there have to be more than two crimes for the purpose.
