AP Celebrates Legal Services Day, with Emphasis on Law

Vijayawada: AP State Legal Services Authority celebrated the Legal Services Day involving legal services institutions to promote literacy about law among people of Andhra Pradesh through mobile vans and social media platforms.

In a statement, AP State Legal Services Authority member secretary M. Babitha advised people to approach legal services institutions located in court compounds for availing legal assistance in any case as per their entitlement.

The pending and pre-litigation cases can also be settled amicably before Lok Adalats, while cases pertaining to public utility services can be settled through permanent Lok Adalats.

The victims of various crimes may also approach legal services institutions at their district headquarters for compensation under the AP Victim Compensation Scheme.

To mark the occasion, APSLSA executive chairman Justice A.V. Sesha Sai inaugurated Baby Care Cabins in court premises for mothers to feed their babies.
