ANANTAPUR: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has inaugurated the police station building at RK Valley in Idupulapaya under Pulivendula assembly segment and another police station in Jammalamadugu of Kadapa district virtually on Friday.
The Idupulapaya RK Valley police station was built with Rs 1.75 crore, while the Jammalamadugu police station building with Rs 2.75 crore. The IIIT institute of Idupulapaya is under RK Valley police station jurisdiction.
As part of a two-day visit in Annamayya and Kadapa districts, Jagan Mohan Reddy stayed at the Idupulapaya guest house for Thursday night. He arrived at the RK Valley police station from Idupulapaya guest house on Friday morning. After the inauguration of the new buildings, the CM received representations from the public at the Idupulapaya station.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed his gratitude to the YSRC leaders and officials of Pulivendula assembly segment for working hard for the region’s development.
“The entire party cadre as also leaders stood with me after the demise of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and supported the development of the area in an honest manner, and faithfully implemented the agenda of the state government,” he noted.
As part of his visit to Kadapa district, the CM reviewed the developmental activities in Pulivendula assembly segment with the officials and leaders at the prayer hall of the Peacock Park in Idupulapaya in Vemula mandal on Friday. Leaders, representatives and officials from Vemula mandal were also present.
The CM interacted with leaders as also his relatives and friends during the meeting. He said, “Because of the immense mental support, encouragement and confidence you gave me after the demise of my father, today I have the opportunity to serve the people of the state and in special my native place.”
He said he could offer good governance with transparency and honesty only due to the cooperation he got from the people.
Kadapa collector Vijaya Ramaraju and Pulivendula urban development authority OSD Anil Reddy briefed the CM on the ongoing developmental activities through a powerpoint presentation. Several leaders represented him for further development of their villages and mandal headquarters.
In the past four years, a new junior college, an ITI and a warehouse were built and work on new drains and roads were progressing there on a war footing.
The local leaders urged the CM to sanction a lift from Penchikala Basireddy canal to irrigate 1600 acres of lands in Nallacheruvu village.
The officials said five sumps were completed as against a total sanction of 76 sumps and at least 15,000 acres of dry lands will get water soon.
The farmers of Lingala mandal sought crop insurance for cotton. During the review meeting, the CM directed the district collector to find ways to solve the problems of local farmers and the people of Vemula mandal.
Jagan Mohan Reddy released posters of the 56th Library Week celebrations from Nov 14 to 20. Deputy chief minister Amzad Bhasha, district incharge minister Adimulapu Suresh, MP Avinash Reddy, Vemula mandal incharge Sambasiva Reddy and several others were present.
