TSRTC extends its rebate to Ayyappa Swami devotees

HYDERABAD: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation said it was providing discounted fares for Ayyappa devotees who would be travelling to Sabarimala in Kerala this month and in January. The corporation urged the devotees not to travel in private buses which, it claimed, would cost more and be unsafe.

The TSRTC, in a press release, stated that a 10 per cent rebate was available for those who booked their ticket on the TSRTC portal or at nearest depot, one week prior to the date of travel. This offer was open for group booking, it said, and the ‘Guru Swami’ and cooks would be allowed free travel.

The corporation also extended free travel to Sabarimala and back to Manikantas (children younger than ten years). The RTC buses on the Sabarimala route would not audio and video facilities, the RTC said.
