CM YS Jagan to release Rs 7,98,95,000 of YSR Law Nestham to junior advocates
Vijayawada: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will deposit ' 7,98,95,000 of YSR Law Nestham for the July - Dec 2023 period directly into the bank accounts of 2,807 eligible junior advocates on Monday.
This would be at the rate of '5,000 as stipend per month to junior advocates for six months, across the state. The CM would credit '30,000 in online mode from the CM Camp Office in Tadepalli.
This is the second tranche for the year 2023-24 and the government would, through the YSR Law Nestham, stand by junior advocates in their initial three years of practice.
The government is providing a stipend of ' 1,80,000 for three years to each beneficiary by crediting '60,000 per annum in two installments to junior advocates, who just started their career.
Including the present payment under this scheme, the government disbursed a financial assistance of ' 49.51 crore to 6,069 beneficiaries.
The state government has set up an Advocates Welfare Trust with a fund of '100 crore for the welfare of advocates, under the chairmanship of the Advocate General and the secretaries of law and finance as its members. So far, the trust has provided a financial assistance of '25 crore for providing loans, Group Mediclaim Policy etc to advocates.
