No transparency in GO 317 transfers, complain government staff
Adilabad: There are complaints from state government employees that there is no transparency in transfers affected in zonal system under G.O. 317 when it comes to erstwhile Adilabad district.
Employees who are influential and have support of their higher ups are continuing in their existing posts without any disturbance. They are using medical, administrative and political influence to remain in posts they are already in.
Even government employees working on deputation, who must be sent to their parent departments, are continuing in their existing jobs. A few, who are powerful enough, have even got cancelled postings of those expected to replace them.
A government teacher working in a tribal ashram school said very few government teachers working with Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Utnoor, got priority in postings under spouses’ category.
There are also strong allegations that some non-tribal employees having support of top officials are continuing in their posts in tribal welfare departments and ITDA without being transferred to another district.
Many government employees who have got transferred to other places are pinning hopes on possible “mutual transfers” with other employees. Some women teachers transferred to interior areas in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district are trying to move nearer to mandal headquarters or towns on various grounds that are available under GO 317.
Incidentally, there are also teachers who had initially resisted transfers. But having realised there is nothing they can do, they are gradually shifting to their new places of duties.
