Portrait of KCR in a field finds a place in Guinness Book of Records

Artist Ravinder Reddy designed the portrait

Khammam: Sattupalli assembly constituency is ahead in campaigning for the Rythu Bandu scheme in Khammam district. TRS is considering the Rythu Bandu as a flagship programme of the state government and the party feels the scheme will help the TRS retain power in the next elections too.

The farmers and farm officials carved out a portrait of chief minister Chandrashekar Rao with various farm produce like rice, chilli etc in a farm in Narayanapuram in Sattupalli mandal.

Paddy saplings were raised and they were set around the portrait.

Artist Ravinder Reddy designed the portrait by using various inputs of farming and nava dhanya including rice, black gram, maize, paddy, green gram, red gram and Bengal gram. Fertilizers, vermi-compost and sand were used in carving out the portrait.

Venkata Veeraiah said, “We want to establish how the farmers are being benefited with the RB and it is giving plenty of irrigation water to farmers by completing various irrigation projects. One would be surprised at noticing the increasing income of the farmers due to the schemes being implemented by the state government”

The RB committees have been constituted in all villages and their members are visiting the houses of every farmer who got the amounts under the scheme and explaining how they would benefit from this.

The committees will make a list after the farmers got the scheme amounts into their accounts.

The members of the committees have been advised by the government to visit the farmers and enquire whether they got the amount or not. Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah is taking special interest in the scheme and he used to organise rallies in every village after the RB amount was deposited in bank accounts of farmers by the government.

He organised a tractor rally in Sattupalli constituency to mark the occasion. The farmers, who shifted to other crops from paddy, are also being felicitated by the MLA.
