In Telangana High Court, Justice G. Anupama Chakravarthy and former judges, Justice G. Sri Devi and Justice G.V. Seethapathy presided over Lok Adalat benches and settled 365 cases while awarding Rs 26.50 crore for 1100 beneficiaries in the cases that were disposed of.

In a special case pertaining to a dispute between 86-year-old Rajamma and the electricity department on a family pension case, the City Court resolved the issue. Rajamma, who was getting pension after the death of her husband, who had retired in the electricity department, noticed that she was getting reduced pension amounts. The department came to know in the audit report that more than Rs 4.5 lakh excess amount was paid to Rajamma.

Aggrieved at that, Rajamma filed a petition before the Civil Court. The Legal Services Authority on Saturday directed the electricity department to only deduct Rs 7500 and not Rs 22, 000 per month.
