Union minister demands action against OU VC
Hyderabad: Osmania University vice-chancellor D. Ravinder Yadav was in the news recently for not answering calls from a Union minister to discuss issues pertaining to students.
A few days back, Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Ramdas Athawale visited Hyderabad. Osmania University students submitted a representation to him seeking directions to the varsity VC.
Fuming at the snub, the minister and his party,- Republican Party of India (A) leaders lodged a complaint with Narendra Modi and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan seeking immediate action against the VC.
“The vice-chancellor deliberately avoided talking to the Minister. The Governor must look into the issue and take action," said Peram Siva Nageswara Rao Goud, RPI Telangana
