Lt Gen Tumul Varma Interacts with Agniveers at 1 EME Centre in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: Lt. Gen Tumul Varma, Director-General, Electronics and Mechnical Engineers (EME), reviewed the infrastructure, training aids and the training regime of Agniveers at the 1 EME Centre, Secunderabad on Friday

Lt Gen. Varma, the Senior Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, interacted with the Agniveers who are passing out after their basic military training (BMT) on Saturday. He also spoke with the new batch of Agniveers who joined earlier this month.

Lt Gen. Varma was briefed by Brig. Suresh G., Commandant, 1 EME Centre, about the technical infrastructure, preparedness of staff and the new training methodology introduced at the Military Training Battalion and Technical Training Battalions of the centre.

The DGEME complimented the efforts put in by team of 1 EME Centre for the proactive initiatives adopted in the training of Agniveers of the Corps of EME. He said that the Corps of EME was well poised with all necessary training requirements of Agniveers at all nominated training establishments for them to become technology-enabled (or technologically-abled) soldiers to provide the assigned engineering support for field army.
