SV Vedic University to follow NEP-2020 norms
TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer (EO) A.V. Dharma Reddy on Friday directed Sri Venkateswara Vedic University in the temple town to promote Vedic education in accordance with National Education Policy-2020 beginning from the coming academic year.
Presiding over a review meeting with Vedic university officials in the TTD Administrative Building, the EO said entire premises of the university should be given an aesthetic look which reminds people of Vedic times. There must be heritage corridors related to Vedas, Agamas, Jyothishyam and so on. Greenery must be part of the programme.
Dharma Reddy said food prepared in hostels should be as per Dittam. "The university area should reverberate with divine chants of Vedic mantras round the clock. Radio and broadcasting department of TTD should make necessary arrangements for the same," he underlined.
The EO advised students to learn modern languages too as part of their Vedic curriculum. He asked officials to speed up scanning of two lakh-odd manuscripts of the TTD.
On the day, Sri Padmavati Mahila Polytechnic celebrated its 47th Annual Day with utmost gaiety. TTD joint executive officer (JEO) Sada Bhargavi observed that all students getting educated in TTD’s educational institutions receive the benign blessings of Sri Padmavati Venkateswara.
The JEO pointed out that women are prospering in all fields. She called upon girl students to work hard with dedication and achieve their goals.
