Visakhapatnam: Suribatla Madhavi has bagged the Guinness record for largest number of crochet ponchos in the world.
She set the record at a crochet poncho demonstration programme in Akkayapalem area of Visakhapatnam.
Craft Council of Andhra Pradesh secretary Renuka Rani appreciated Madhavi for bringing special recognition for women in the area of women empowerment and development.
While Renuka Rani was the chief guest of the programme, Visakhapatnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Jeeja Walsaraj and eminent nutritionist Usha Raju were special guests.
Swapnil Dangarikar, a representative of the Guinness Book of World Records London witnessed and confirmed the record. Swapnil presented Madhavi a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records and congratulated her.
