Hyderabad: BJP state general secretary G. Premender Reddy on Wednesday filed a complaint to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Telangana state for taking action on the BRS government for disbursing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds with ante-dated cheques at Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
In the complaint, Premender Reddy said that it has been gathered through various sources that the state government was on the spree of disbursing CSR funds through ante-dated cheques to the beneficiaries at SCCL. As the model code of conduct has come into operation, it is unfair and illegal to resort to such immoral tactics to attract voters. It has also come to their notice that the state government is releasing payments to various suppliers and contractors of various departments with ante-dated cheques.
The BJP general secretary requested the Election Commission to inquire into the matter and instruct the government machinery to refrain from such immoral and illegal activities forthwith.
