Kurnool: A leopard cub died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Hatakeswaram, close to Srisailam, on Friday night. The incident took place as the cub was in the process of crossing the road.
Srisailam forest range officer V. Narasimhulu verified the place and said that the deceased cub was a six-month-old female leopard. Authorities have responded to the incident, and he mentioned that veterinary doctors were currently performing a postmortem and would subsequently arrange for an animal funeral for the leopard cub.
