Police Crack the Whip on Political Leaders for Allowing DJs, Crackers in Rallies
HYDERABAD: The police booked well-known political leaders for causing noise pollution, in violation of the model code of conduct as well as distributing money to voters. In most cases they were using DJ sound systems and bursting crackers.
The Dubbak police registered cases against BRS MP and contestant Kotha Prabhakar Reddy for using DJ systems and BJP Dubbak MLA candidate M. Ragunandan Rao for bursting crackers during the nominations. Dubbak police also registered cases against BJP leader Matta Mallareddy for posting videos on social media of Prabhakar Reddy.
The Musheerabad police booked Congress candidate Anjan Kumar Yadav for allowing loud music and DJ sounds during his door to door campaign.
The Kurvi police of Mahbubabad booked BRS activists for distributing money to voters, including Rekula thanda Banoth Emmanuel and Guguloth Naresh and seized Rs 19,200 from them.
Dornakal police booked Padmaja Charitable Trust for distributing the money on behalf of Nanavath Bhupal Naik.
MIM Malakpet contestant Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala was booked for distributing pamphlets without details of the distributor and printer. Kulcharam police, based on a complaint through C Vigil app, booked BJP leaders for tying flags and banners to electrical poles.
Karimnagar police registered cases Raja Naresh Reddy, BRS youth incharge, for bursting of crackers.
