Visakhapatnam: Around 150 Mumbai-bound passengers were stranded on Sunday evening after an Air India flight to Mumbai got delayed in arriving in Visakhapatnam due to technical reasons. Passengers told reporters that they checked in at the Visakhapatnam Airport at about 1.30 pm , two hours in advance.
They said there was no information about the flight till 6 pm. There were heated arguments between passengers and representatives of Air India. Some of them feared that they would miss the international connecting flights in Mumbai.
Director of Visakhapatnam Airport K. Srinivasa Rao told this correspondent late evening that the Air India flight got delayed due to operations reasons. He said the flight will arrive at 2.10 and fly to Mumbai at 2.30 am. This was communicated to the passengers, he said.
