HYDERABAD: As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrations to mark India’s Independence Day diamond jubilee, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) inaugurated a two-product exhibition for college and school students at its Kanchanbagh unit on Friday.
The event will be open on Saturday from 10 am to 3.30 pm for school and college students, BDL said in a statement.
Nuka Srinivasulu, director (finance), BDL, inaugurated the exhibition on Friday, in the presence of Dr. Upender Vennam, chief vigilance officer, BDL, senior executives, and employees of the company.
The exhibition showcases models of anti-tank-guided, surface-to-air, and air-to-air missiles, missile launchers, underwater weapons, and countermeasures.
Srinivasulu said that the wide range of products at the exhibition for students would help bring awareness and a learning experience beyond their classrooms, especially about emerging technologies in defence production.
BDL has also organised a 'vendor meet' to promote the indigenisation drive through MSMEs. Competitions were also conducted on essay writing and debate, in which, trainees from different trades, and the Industrial Training Institute, participated.
