Inter student dies dancing at college party in Karimnagar
KARIMNAGAR: In a tragic incident, an Intermediate second year girl student suddenly collapsed and died while dancing at a Fresher’s Day party held at the Telangana State Model School and Junior College in Nyalakondapalli in Gangadhara mandal of Karimnagar district.
The 17-year-old student, identified as Gundu Pradeepthi, was the elder daughter of Anajaiah and Sharada, of Venkataipally village of the mandal.
Her classmates and friends said Pradeepthi was actively participating in the Fresher's Day celebrations and while performing a dance along with her friends, she suddenly collapsed on the stage.
Immediately, the teachers and staff members present there gave her CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) treatment, suspecting that she might have suffered a cardiac arrest and rushed her to the government hospital, where she was pronounced ‘brought dead’.
Her classmates said that Pradeepthi was suffering from a hole in her heart. Though the doctors advised her that she needed surgery, her parents could not provide her with the treatment due to financial problems, they said.
