Union minister interacts with patients in Gudivada
VIJAYAWADA: Union minister of state for health Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar emphasised that Ayushman Bharat scheme of the centre should be publicised widely, so that it could be fully implemented in Andhra Pradesh.
She was speaking after visiting the Gudivada Area Hospital in Krishna district on Sunday. She interacted with doctors and patients at the hospital and inquired about the available facilities.
Dr. Bharati Pawar informed the hospital doctors that Prime Minister Janani Suraksha Yojana, Janani Suraksha Sishu Yojana and Ayushman Bharat schemes are available at all government hospitals in the state. Further, 64 medical tests are being provided free of cost by National Health Mission and 394 medicines are also being distributed free.
The union minister wanted banners of Ayushman Bharat and facilities available under it displayed at all government hospitals. She suggested that blood donation camps be organised widely in the state.
Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Commissioner Vinod Kumar, Krishna district joint collector R. Mahesh Kumar, DM&HO Dr. G. Geetha Bai, and Gudivada Area Hospital medical superintendent Dr. S Indira Devi were among those present.
