New classrooms inaugurated at Osmania University
Hyderabad: New classrooms were inaugurated at University College of Education, Osmania University by vice chancellor Prof. D. Ravinder Yadav and registrar Prof. P. Lakshminarayana on Tuesday. The classrooms and conference rooms were built at a cost of Rs 7.5 crore.
Emphasising on the significance of new educational trends, innovative teaching strategies and preparation programmes for teachers, Prof. Ravinder said good infrastructure is necessary to achieve the aforementioned goals. As part of the National Mission for 2015-2020, classrooms were built under the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya scheme of the Centre.
The Centre contributed 60 per cent of the fund while the state government accounted for the remaining 40 per cent, Prof. Ravinder said.
The university is currently investing an additional Rs 144 crore towards infrastructure development initiatives, the vice chancellor said.
