Broiler complains of fodder scam
HYDERABAD: Have you ever witnessed a hen holding a press conference? This is what happened in Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, much to the amusement of the reporters.
To highlight the alleged 'poultry fodder scam' worth `1,000 crore involving TRS leaders, including MP G. Ranjith Reddy, former government whip E. Anil Kumar brought along a broiler and some feed. "These scamsters have eaten up the food meant for these hens and left them starving," Anil said, drawing everyone's attention to the hen.
Anil Kumar is known for generating media buzz and interest with his unusual teasers. Earlier, he had built intrigue by sending out an invitation that read, "The starved hen will be addressing the media this afternoon."
This piqued the scribes' curiosity even more. At the press conference on Monday, Anil claimed, while placing the hen on the table, that both TRS MP G. Ranjith Reddy and BJP leader Errabelli Pradeep Rao were involved in the `1,000 crore scam with the help of MarkFed officials.
