Visakhapatnam: Telangana's minister for revenue, housing and information & public relations, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, visited the famed Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on Monday. He was accompanied by Lok Sabha MP Peddireddy Midhun Reddy.
Upon arrival, the minister participated in special rituals dedicated to Goddess Durga Devi. He was warmly welcomed by the Durga Temple Trust Board chairman, Karnati Rambabu, who conducted the traditional temple rituals and facilitated darshan for both Reddy and Midhun Reddy.
This marked Srinivasa Reddy's first visit to the temple since assuming his ministerial responsibilities. Vedic scholars bestowed blessings upon the minister and MP, presenting them with silk robes and the sacred Laddu Prasadam at the Veda Ashirvachanam Mandapam.
In another notable event, renowned Telugu actor Daggubati Venkatesh, accompanied by the crew of his upcoming film "Saindava," visited the temple and offered prayers to Goddess Durga Devi.
