Group of Ministers discusses zonal system, nativity
Vijayawada: The Group of Ministers (GoM) discussed the amendment to be carried out for the Presidential Order of 1975 on ‘zonal system and nativity’, during their first meeting held here on Wednesday.
As the state government recently restructured the 13 districts to 26 for administrative convenience and there was a need for making changes to the existing zonal system and nativity, the GoM resolved to hold meetings with employee unions and other stakeholders to prepare a draft proposal to be sent to the Centre, for issue of a fresh Presidential Order.
Education minister Botsa Satyanarayana, chief secretary Jawahar Reddy, government adviser (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, government adviser (employees welfare) Chandrasekhar and excise special chief secretary Rajat Bhargav were present.
